9400km Cycle from Nordkapp to Gibraltar

Struggling with fitness and weight, I decided it was time to plan an event a year from now and work towards it regaining much needed fitness.
Being a competitive mountain biker during the 90's during my teens and twenties while living in Belgium, I decided that the event would involve a bike of some sort.
As you can see from the picture below, my mountain bike days date that far back that digital cameras weren't in existence yet.
So , cycling combined with the appetite to travel and blog about our adventures, I decided to cycle from Nordkapp (Norway) to Gibraltar. I also want to follow as much as possible a coastal route, so rather than cycling directly through Spain, I will be following the coastal route through Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal and back into Spain ending in Gibraltar.

I give myself 60 days to complete the 10,000km trip, fully unsupported. The plan is to start on the 1st june '20 and finish on the 30th july '20. This gives me 18 months to get back to my racing day fitness, it will give me 18 months to talk to my employers in order to get the 2 months off, 18 months to arrange the trip with the local tourism boards of all the respective countries, 18 months to get my gear together (sponsorship?) and 18 months to write about my preparation for the trip.
On the trip, I will be taking in the local tourist attractions, sample the local food, meet the locals, ...
Do I have a lot of work over the next 18 months? Yes, it is even a struggle to cycle 40km at the moment.
