Knox lunch

After a bit of shopping, we decided to give Knox in Sligo's o'Connell street a go. We waited to be seated. As we arrived around 11.40AM , it was just to late for breakfast and it was to early for lunch, so we ordered a tea and a latte.

The interior is inviting and warm. Knox has an urban appeal to it, and you could easily think you are in San Fransico, Barcelona or Milan.
It is trendy, it is cosy and it is busy.

The menu is varied. From sambos to salads to the daily specials, there is plenty of choice. I went for the pulled ham hock, slices of toasted loaf with pulled ham and melted cheddar. I added the twice cooked hand cut fries which were homemade, warm and very tasty

Dolores went for the knox chicken burger, Nice chicken with guacamole, house sauce & slaw on a brioche bun. The fries were replaced with the sweet potato fries which were fantastic.

We had a brilliant lunch and would highly recommend Knox. It is vibrant, modern and very competitively priced. The food is fresh.
The little original touches on the table make it very enjoyable, for example, the forks and knives are left in an empty black treacle can, the milk which accompanied the tea is served in a tiny bottle,...

Top marks!!
