You probably wonder, why is this an important seal? There are many seals in the crystal clear water's of the Atlantic Ocean.
This one seal is important as it stands for what the Wild Atlantic Way is about. Natural beauty, scenery, fauna and flora. There are many countries in Europe, but not a single one of them has a 2500km route following the rugged Atlantic ocean. And that is why it is important to protect the coast, the ocean, the sea..... protect this little seal it's natural habitat.
That is why it is important to start educating kids at a young age what needs to be done to protect this "one important seal". This "one important seal" wants to swim in crystal clear waters in 10 - 20 or 30 years from now. This seal's pup wants to be able to discover Inishmurray, catch a fish nearby Raghley or nearby Mullaghmore. That is why it is important to take your kids outside, let them discover nature for themselves and maybe become a surfer, kayaker or open water swimmer in later life. Let them discover rock pools, play in the water or along the Wild Atlantic ocean.
